The holiday season is quickly approaching! White’s of Westport is known throughout the local community for providing holiday entertainment, open parties, takeout & more. This year, Lafrance Hospitality Company, White’s of Westport and the Waypoint Event Center are proud to offer our traditional open parties and new dinner theater shows to our holiday lineup.
For the first time, we will host a Country Night. Local non-profit organizations who sell tickets to this event will keep 100% of the profit from their ticket sales. In addition, the Waypoint Event Center will welcome FUN 107 personality Michael Rock as host of their party on December 13th.

Uplighting can transform the room completely
If you are from the Westport area, you know that White’s of Westport has been a community establishment since opening its doors on Easter Sunday, 1955. Did you know that it is themed after the Fall River Line? The ship-like interior of the building can make it hard for hosts to see the true potential of the rooms White’s has to offer. Between uplighting, simple floor length linens and lounge furniture, the Plymouth Room and Ballroom adapt to a completely new look!

We always enjoy working with the ladies at M.Studios. If there is one thing that stands out about these two friends and business partners, it is that they have a fun dynamic with each couple they photograph. Their Facebook page has an album that highlights the lengths photographers will go to in order get the perfect angle and other behind the scene shots that emphasizes what goes into their art. Marissa and Melissa’s final product never disappoints, and we are delighted that we were able to work with them a few times this wedding season!

The theme of this wedding was very simple. The reception was ivory and gold, the bridesmaids wore peach and the groomsmen wore gray suits. Stacy, the bride, incorporated candles into this simple, classic reception that added the perfect amount of romance to our intimate SeaLoft. She had lanterns to put out all over the patio with lit candles during cocktail hour and candles were on the guests tables, head table and place card/gift table.

The Head Table was set for twenty and included gold chargers. Following cake, the Head Table was moved against the wall to allow more dancing room.

SeaLoft room design for Stacy and Derek's wedding
Stacy and Derek are high school sweethearts. Their cake was made by a family member, and the flowers were done by a friend. We enjoyed being a part of their lovely day!
The SeaLoft was dressed in neutral tones for Stacy and Derek's big day, allowing the original stone work to stand out

With the 2013 wedding season well underway and many happy couples planning for their big day later this year and into 2014, we wanted to take the time to share some of our favorite table and centerpiece designs from recent weddings. So many of our couples have dreamed up fabulous themes and decor that it was difficult to choose only a few. If you’re looking for inspiration, or want to see what has worked well at our properties in the past, please visit our Facebook pages and Pinterest page.
